Setting start page
This tool will adjust your homepage so that it opens up in a pre-defined size and position. I dunno about you, but I got tired of my browser windows opening up in weird sizes depending on the last-closed size.

Here's how it works. Setup the form as you see fit:
  • X Position: the number of pixels that the browser will start from the left of your screen. Set this to 0 if you want it to be the left side. Myself, I add a little buffer.
  • Y Position: the number of pixels that the browser will start from the top of your screen. Set this to 0 if you want it to be at the top. Myself, I add a little buffer.
  • X Width: how wide the browser will be in pixels. You want this to be a bit smaller than your desktop resolution and account for any buffer you set in the 'X Position' above. For instance, if you are running 1024 x 768 w/ a 'X Position' of 50, I recommend setting this to about 950.
  • Y Height: how tall the browser will be in pixels. You want this to be a bit smaller than your desktop resolution and account for any buffer you set in the 'Y Position' above. For instance, if you are running 1024 x 768 w/ a 'Y Position' of 50, I recommend setting this to about 650.
  • URL: set this to the homepage you'd like to set your browser to. Yahoo.com, Msn.com, whatever.

You'll see the very bottom box update live to accomodate your settings. After you have set that up, click: 'set homepage'. A box may or may not appear confirming your change. Agree to the box. Now you can click 'Home' to see what it does! If you don't like it, click 'Back' and adjust the numbers as needed.

Enjoy!
